Meaning: ministers who perform these ministry functions as agents of the Lord, are wholly worthy of being and should be supported by those who are the recipients of their ministry. The recipients of ministry (spiritual things) are indebted to minister back to those who have ministered to them material, monetary things (Rom. 15:27; Gal. 6:6, et al.
